Default EOS T1i what lens

Hi, I was wondering if you guys could help me choose the right lens. I am thinking about getting the Canon EOS T1i and would like to know what lens would you guys suggest for the best all around shooting? I like to take action shots of my dogs playing, beach shots, sun sets and people. I would also like to get a nice zoom lens also. I don't want to spend thousands of dollars since I am no professional but would like a nice lens.

Thanks

The 18-55 IS kit lens is a very good lens. If you need something longer, the 55-250 IS lens is also very good. Together, they will do what you say you want.

If you want one lens to do it all, it will cost more and won't be as good, but you won't have to change lenses.

I second that choice because Canon has a good deal on the 2 lenses combo on the T1i and XSi.
