Jewelry is very difficult to photograph. I think you did a good job, but I am by no means an expert.

Considering that you were only using the kit lens, rather than a dedicated Macro lens, on your brand new Sony A-330 DSLR camera, I see the results as very creditable, and the photos as very creative. Well done.

Thanks for the kind words guys.
I can already see we're going to need a zoom lens of some sort though.
Although we're really not sure where to look, we don't need anything too crazy.

The Sony 55-200mm lens has received great reviews and is well priced. They often show up on E-Bay and I recently bought one there for $86.00 delivered to my home.

So there is one option for maximizing your value. The Sony 55-200mm lens is a good addition.
