Default Which entry-level superzoom?

The Nikon L100, or Fujifilm S1500?
Most shots will be scenery and son playing sports. But throw in plenty of family outings as well. I'd like to get something a bit higher quality, but family budget is a big concern here. Thanks to every response.

rydray-

If your budget keeps you at this camera level, the Fuji S1500 is the better choice. If you don't need more than 10X optical zoom the Canon SX-120 is also a good choice.

Have a great day.

I think Target had the Fuji on clearance for $99.

Target is where i've been looking because I have gift cards for them. But in every ad I look at, the Fuji is listed at $179.

rydray, I have been using a Fuji S1500 for the past half year, and am really pleased with the performance for what I paid for it. The zoom is exception and you can toy around with its manual settings to achieve some quality shots. It only lacks when trying to focus on a really fast moving subject, or in dark environments when you are not using the flash. (The flash is also acceptable). I will say, though, that if you are willing to let the camera take a second to snap a photo, it can provide some beautiful results of "more-still" subjects.

Thank you all, for your input. The fuji is the one i've been leaning towards. Will know in a few days (hopefully) if we can purchase it.
