If HD recording is a must and you need to burn them to a disc media please be aware that you would need a BD burner and disc to keep it in HD. With Panasonic Slr's you can burn the AvcHd files straight to DVD and keep the high def resolution. You could record up to 30 minutes at a time. In other words with the panasonics a regular DVD burner would work to pass on your Hd recordings.

Santuris-

That is what we all thought, but that little red LED does not flash in the optical viewfinder to indicate the point of focus, at least not in the Kx that I had to use for 2 weeks.

okay.. but is it viewable in the Live-Viev? as far as i am informed, there´s also a green button in the viewfinder, which confirms the focus-lock.. I guess, I can live with that =)

As a former LUMIX FZ35 owner all I can say is that the K-X blows the FZ35 out of the water. I have tried a few super zoom cameras from fuji then the FZ35. Simply put in low light and any action photos the images from the point and shoot cameras are simply not usable. If blurry grainy photos are what you are after fine, but a point and shoot simply can't take photos a DSLR can. Set an FZ35 to IS0 1000 at 1/200 to catch a soccer player running even an a sunny day its an unusable setting. On the K-X or most any other DSLR it's a rather easy shot. Forget about using the point and shoot cameras at a semi dark wedding reception like I tried most if not all shots are a waste. I took the K-x to a dark prom dance to take photos of the kids dancing and it worked perfectly.
