& also i really really like canon because the color accent feature..hm :/

Canon does have one newer model that you can take into the water without worrying about a waterproof enclosure. See it's review here:

Canon PowerShot D10

But, it doesn't have some of the other features it sounds like you're interested in.

well if you really love the color accent feature. and are willing to sacrifice a little quick shooting performance and zoom while video. then its worth the tradeoff.

But, what about on the other canon cameras?
Does it have the waterproof feature as well (like the PowerShot SD980 IS)

No, the other cameras (aka sd980is) do not have a waterproof body.

waterproof cameras are more of a specialty, and usually come at the expense of many features normally found on digicams.

aftermarket waterproof housings are available for many digicams if that is something you would want at some point.

that is for use with optional underwater housings.
