If you are even thinking that this will be necessary. Go with the FZ-35. they are both small-sensor digicams.

What do you mean "they are both small-sensor digicams"? Are you referring to the G11 and FZ-35?

yes, sure the G11 does have a bigger sensor than the FZ-35, and it has quite a bit lower pixel density, but they are both very small, and tightly packed compared to like a DSLR.

the G11 will do better in low-light, actually its one of the best digicams at that. but if you are thinking that the 5x zoom will not be enough, and that for your purposes you will be cropping heavily, then the FZ-35 is the clear winner.

Thank you for the info. The more I think about it the more I keep thinking that the SX200 is the right one for me.
