Default SX120 vs DSC H20

Thanks for all your previous reply. and Now I have narrow down my selection list with these two cameras.

Please let me know which one will be excellent in terms of picture quality. I am not an expert, so probably try to capture pictures in AUTO mode always.

So, please guide me which one I should choose for getting good picture quality in AUTO mode.

Thanks
-Ravi

Ravi-

The Sony H-20 camera has 10X optical zoom, the best automatic mode and best built-in flash in the class. The H-20 also does HD video and allows zooming during filming.

The Canon SX-120
has 10X optical zoom, a good automatic mode, a good built-in flash/ The SX-120 does normal video and is very slightly physically smaller in length and width than the Sony H-20.

The Sony H-20 is clearly the top choice
, but here in the USA it costs $(US) 40.00 more than the Canon SX-120 camera. As I noted above, the H-20 is very slightly larger than the SX-120.

Ravi-

The Sony H-20 and the Canon SX-120 both have very comparable image quality.

Thanks again Sara.

I am atlast finalizing the H20 as it has some additional feature like (anti blur etc). To satisfy myself, I was reading some of the online review of H20 and found the following review.

http://www.cameras.co.uk/reviews/sony-dsc-h20.cfm

Do you have any comment for this review?

This site has given a very good review for SX120 but given less review of H20 for Colors and Image quality. How much you are satisfy with this review.

Thanks
-Ravi

I took this pic with my wifes Xmas present when she was out (SX120)

I was also looking at the H20 but after handling it several times it lost it's appeal to me, It was more about looks and feel then anything else and I've got a couple of other Sony's a DSC P7 and a NC1 Net Sharing Cam so I am a Sony fan..

This pic was taken about 7-8 feet away zoomed in in Auto mode

I would not put much stock in this site, just from the quick read i gave it.

Really the difference in image quality between the Canon and Sony is so close, it would just be nitpicking to find differences. The sony has a little better flash. Either would serve you well though, pick the one that appeals to you.

ravipg-

The so called "review" that you linked to is NOT a professional review at all. It is a user review section from Amazon UK's website. the image quality, as hards, noted in his reply to you is virtually the same between the SX-120 and the H-20.
