virginia-

That is a 100% crop of a JPEG image. The jpeg's from the E-620 are remarkable.

Have a great day. Happy Holidays.

Hi Sarah,

Just wondering how do you find the JPEG outputs from the E-620 compared to the outputs from Nikon (D3000 if you have that model or those of similar level).

Lots have said that Olympus produces very nice, warm skin tone pictures that is very pleasing and that its JPEG engine is superior and produces as good enough images compared to the RAW engines of others.

Justin.

Justin-

The Olympus E-620 has great jpeg images. I used to have to do RAW with my Olympus E-510. Now I have the freedom of using jpeg images and a much lighter workload.

Regarding the jpeg image quality of the Nikon D-3000. I do not own the D-3000, but I did take this photo just 5 minutes after the E-620 photo of my husband, Bradley, with my Nikon D-40 anf the Nikon 18-105 mm lens.

Have a great day and Happy Holidays.

Sarah,
Which do you feel is closer to your husband's skin tone? I have lupus and many cameras love to give me a red tint if you shoot a pic of my face. I am actually fairly white. But the red overrides all the colors.

Justin-

The face coloration from the E-620 was the most honest and real, when compared to the Nikon D-40. However, please bear in mind, that facial tones are very easy to correct in post processing.

Have a great day. Merry Christmas.

Awesome. Will keep that in mind. Just had a play with a friend's D80 + 18-105mm lens - definitely big and longer than what I was looking for, so that in a way is swaying me to an Olympus.

Only thing is everywhere is out of stock. Will be making a few calls around tomorrow to see for availability.

Justin.

Justin and virginiag2

Get the CF card over the Xd. It is worth the money. I wish my canon had cf over sdhc.
