Default Canon T1i kit out the door price?

I know the other thread got locked, but I am seeing higher priced kits at Amazon and a final price of $899 at B & H. Is this the price everyone else is seeing?

I saw that comments on the $824 price; is that price out there?

Actually it ends up 819 at adorama.com. It starts 899, once you add it to you cart, it goes to 824. And helen at adorama said once you check out it goes to 819. Hope that helps. Very nice people to deal with at adorama.

Default I just got a shipping confirmation from Amazon

I was ready to go and pick one up here in Denver last weekend. "Not in stock, sold out before Xmas, sorry". When I saw the other thread about putting both items in the cart, I ordered it and the 55-250 from Amazon and after the $200 discount it was about $780. Have not actually seen the credit card statement but it looked like that is what I'll pay on my account and order page at Amazon. I received the email today stating that I could expect delivery around 1/6. THANKS Steve's forum and all of the other posters here !!

I shopped E-Bay for my new T1i kit with the 18-55mm IS lens for $760 including shipping. Also got my 70-300mm IS USM through the same seller for $465. At least it's worth a look. Hope this helps.

Are we talking about the 2 lens kit with the 18-55mm and 55-250 for 799?

Looks to me like Amazon would be $818 total, if you put both the body w/18-55 and then the 55-250 lens in your cart. It would deduct the $200 from the grand total. Free shipping and no tax. I got the body and wide zoom today and it is quite a deal. I'm truly impressed with what it did in the first few hours. I'm glad that finally jumped into the DSLR pond and now am anxious to liquidate my medium format and Nikon F3 and lenses to get the 10-22mm superwide lens.
