Default canon sd1200 vs lumix fs7

hey,
i have been looking for a new camera since my old sony has been stolen......

since i am in chile right now i need a camera as soon as possible (as a good tourist I have to take many pictures) and I can only buy the stuff that is available in the stores......

anyways i have been looking and i have to decide now between a canon sd1200 and a parasonic lumic dmc-fs7 or fs42. all the tests i could find were more or less the same and i could find good and bad comments on both.

so i was wondering if anybody had experience with them and could help me decide. which camera shoots the best pictures over all??? which has more manual options and which is quicker???

Thanks for your help!!!! I really apriciate it!

frida-

Welcome to the Forum. We're please that you dropped by.

In terms of image quality, these two cameras are pretty close. However, when you consider ease of use the Panasonic FS-7 moves ahead and takes the win.

Have a great day.

there is not a large difference between these models.

if you have a chance to play with them instore, pick the one you feel most comfortable with. play with menu's, change settings, whichever one fits you best will serve you well.
