Default What camera should I buy?

Hi everyone!

I've been looking around and decided this may be the best place for some advice on what camera to buy.

I need a point and shoot camera, small, to take pictures in low light situations, (night clubs, concerts, etc...). If it can also shoot movies in HD that will be a plus.

I really want a camera that doesnt take too long from picture to picture.

I think that is it.

As for budget if I can find the perfect camera Im willing to spend something more for it.

So what do you guys suggest?

Thanks in advance....

night clubs and concert are very tough environment for compact point and shoots because of the smaller sensor. You may want to look more though a bridge camera something like a canon G11 or SX20 both have HD.

Not really, as the big issue is the low light for any point and shoot to get decent photos. Compact P&S do not handle low light well, and their built in flashes are pretty useless if you are not within 5 ft of your subject.

PS

neither of the camera I recommend will give you great low light results, just decent low light results.

The fuji are good p&s but do not shoot hd,

If you want a smaller camera with hd and a pocket size camera the canon sx200 would be a good choice, it ok in low light if you get close as it has a higher iso, at 3200. But if you try to zoom in with it's 12x zoom in low light, the picture will not be that great because of the sensor.

the s90 will not shot hd, but is will perform decent in low light like the g11. They are about the same size.

The panasonic dmc-zr1k is a very good camera. But will be along the lines of the sx200 in it's low light. Need to get close for a decent shot.

if you had to decide between the canon s90, the panasonic dmc-zr1, the fuji finepixf100fd, and the canon sx200, which would you chose?
