Default Nikon P90 or Panasonic FZ35???

I've been looking at the two a little more extensively... looks like the Panasonic may be a little cheaper than the Nikon. However, curious what your opinions are to the pros and cons of each. I wanted a camera with manual controls but not as expensive or bulky as a DSLR. Thanks!!

It is no contest. The FZ-35 is the clear winner by a wide margin. The Nikon P-90 is very prone to moderate to heavy noise even at ISO 200 and ISO 400 and above. In contrast, the FZ-35 can easily use ISO 800 without flash and produce good image quality.

Here is a FZ-35 photo from this morning's (01/10) dawn along the Oregon Coast.

not much to add, other than I agree the FZ-35 is a better camera than the P90. better lens, better imager, better video/audio.
