Default Have Nikon D70s. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

I want to get a new camera body (Nikon) so that I have a backup. I have several jobs coming up and would hate to have my camera break while in the middle of one. I feel I'm to the point where I need a new one and keep my 70s as a backup.

I don't need a lens because I'll use the same lenses that I just for my 70s. Looking for something in the $500-$800 price range, I guess. D70s is a 5.1mp, I believe. What is the next step up from that that would make me just as happy. Maybe 8.0mp? Definitely want another DSLR Nikon.

Thanks in advance for your opinions!

the d90 would be the best bet as it has a focus motor and will use all the nikon lenses, even the primes. and gives you the option of video if anything you are doing needs some short clips to go along with it.
