what brand do you normally recommend?

Also shooting in raw gives better quality?

on the high end, Sandisk and panasonic.

I personally use a delkin 16gb class 6, but the transcend, kingston and lexar are are all good.

I have panasonic 8 gb class 6, a german hama 8gb class 6 and a sandisk ultra II 8gb class 4 also. Got the hama for free because I had to cash in some miles. It works just as good as my panasonic and delkin.

A 32gb card will give you about 5000 high res jpeg, or 1300 if you shoot and process raw files at home.

Ok good to know, cause i will be getting the sd card from somewhere else, as bestbuy has them over priced just like most of their items.

I would go with a 16gb class 6 card personally. It is allot of memory if you are planning to shot jpeg. If you shot raw you will need to get a raw converter and good editing program.
