Default Trying to make a decision on cameras

First of all I want to say hello I am new to this forum. I have been looking around for a good camera, I've had my eyes on the Sony DSC-H20/B, and earlier today I had found the Olympus SP-800UZ will be coming out either later this month or early next month. Now judging by the specs which one do you think is better over all? I want a good camera that takes still pictures, and also one that has very nice recording. Instead of Buying a DSLR and then a camcorder, which might i add will tear a whole in my pocket. I am not looking to become a professional photographer but I do enjoy taking picutres, and i also like my pictures high quality. So i come to you guys for some advice and help

edit: or is it smarter to just go all out and get the Rebel T1i

Both the Fuji H-10 and the Olympus SP-8000 are brand new cameras, just announced on 01 February. Both are 30X optical zoom, with one beginning at 24mm (Fuji 24mm to 720mm) and the other beginning at 28mm (Olympus 28mm to 840mm). Pricing and a delivery date has not yet be announced. Industry observers expect them on dealer shelves by mid april.

I am sure that in the next week or so we will have more information. Thus far we have just the announcement.

Thanks, Strobe-

Yes, The Fuji even seems to go a step farther forward, than Olympus. It will take a week of so for everything to come out and be discussed. I will keep you posted.

Wow the Fuji looks amazing. Are they going to have about the same price tag?

I will give that a great big yes. Providing your are willing to become skilled with a DSLR and purchase the necessary lenses.
