Dear Friends;
I'am looking to buy a camera that gives me Excellant Still and Video. I will use the camera both On land as well as when Diving. That is why I'm searching for a camera with good history in Underwater scenes...

Many thanks

What sort of budget and how deep are you going to dive?

Are you looking for a Video camera or a still camera with video capability?

I am a diver. Before you decide on a camera, check out the waterproof housing prices. They can cost more than the camera. I use a Fuji F50 with a full control housing. Housings for DSLRs are incredibly expensive. Underwater shooting is complicated. You need to seriously ask yourself how much are you willing to spend for underwater pcitures?

The new canon sx120 may be an option with video. Both the canon s90 and G11 have excellent underwater abilities so if canon carry this over to the new xs120 it may fit the build. And if canon does come out with a housing for it, it should make this around a sub 800 dollar package.

If you are looking for a dslr, that is a whole other ball game.
