Default ZS1 vs FZ35 Question

I've read quite a few comparisons of the ZS1 and the FZ35. A lot of what I am reading says that they are basically the same as far as results. Is that accurate? It seems to me that the FZ35 would be much better all around based on aperture alone (F2.8 - F4.4 vs. F3.3 - F4.9). Is that correct or is the difference a non-issue? Price isn't an issue, either zoom would work fine, size doesn't matter although the ZS3 is a fabulous size). All of the pics I'm seeing posted are of wildlife/outdoors, but I haven't found many people/indoors shots. Thanks!

those 2 cameras are in completely different classes. and thus a comparison between the 2 is not really fair. they are both good cameras in their respective class, but being a larger bridge superzoom, the fz35 outperforms the zs1 handily.

it offers much more control, RAW, many more features, a bigger, better lens. and overall image quality is better.

I should also add that this is going to be an addition to the S90 that I just got (and yes decided to keep). It will be for when I need the extra zoom, but I still want it to be great all around.

Hards is giving you a good advice. I have a zs3 and no way it can be compared to a fz35. Quite other league.

I will be happy to add a third affirmation that the Panasonic ZS1 and FZ-35 are completely different cameras. The FZ-35 is much more capable, with full manual controls and even RAW.

In contrast, the ZS1 has really no manual controls at all, and when compared to the FZ-35, the ZS1 has far fewer features and is definitely far less able to capture complex images.
