flipper-

Here is a link to one of the few reviews of the Samsung ES60 that I was able to locate:

http://www.segadget.com/entry/525

This camera, while an entry level camera seems to perform well. In my opinion, the Panasonic FS-7 remains the best choice, followed by the Canon A-1100.

Have a great day.

sorry for being a bother but i have new camera models which I am considering. here they are: canon powershot 590is, casio ex-z85, casio ex-z2, sony cybershot w210. the panasonic is a scam i think, so that's out. how do these new ones above compare to a canon a1100? oh and a canon 95is (someone's selling this secondhand, i might try to ask for a discount)?

flipper-

Among the new group, the only camera that I would consider is the Canon A-590 IS. The A-590IS is older than the A-1100, but it received excellent professional reviews. So, I see the A-1100 as your #1 choice, and the A-590IS as your #2 choice.
