As for warranty, do I have to purchase from an authorized seller or can I buy from ebay and still have a warranty as long as I fill out the card?
Sorry for the confusion, I was referring to lenses. I guess its the same process, with original receipt, etc...

I am getting the T1i with kit lens and opting for the 85mm as my first lens. From what I see, the 50mm is quite popular on craigslist so I'll scoop one up when I find a sweet price...

Ebay for used is not bad either, I have gotten great deal on lens there too. I just go 2 lenses for my olympus at a great cost saving and they were in excellent to mint condition. Just find a good seller with 100% positive feed back.

I used Craigslist in the past, the nice thing is they are local, and you can check out the lens first.

Default Mack Warranty

So I have decided to go with the Refurbished T1i from Adorama's ebay store.

Wondering if a Mack Warranty is worth it? Anyone have a Mack warranty?

If you plan on keeping it a long time it is useful. I tend to keep my cameras for quite a while. It does cover senor cleaning and stuff. But if you plan to upgrade in 2 years, then no it would not be worth it.

You can visit www.mackcam.com for more in-depth details on their individual programs, and it is also worth you taking a note of the contact details of Desiree, the Customer Relations Supervisor for Mack; she can answer any specific questions regarding the warranties and can be reached via email at helpdesk@mackcam.com

I've heard good things about Mack warranties. Their service is often better than the OEM extended warranties, and they're cheaper to boot. If Adorama's one year warranty isn't enough for you, the Mack warranty is a good idea.
