thanks Sarah,

I have looked at JR and Amazon and the ZR's are on there for about $200.

Although I have yet to discern the exact difference between the ZR1/ZS1.

They seem about the same - give or take 2mg pixel (Id rather thave 10 than 12). Does the upgraded OIS and imager on the ZR bring it up to par with the ZS ?

Fuji's lack of stockists here in California, is rendering them a gamble I'm not sure I want to take.

Blue-

The ZR and ZX series are essentially the same camera. Like you I wanted to stay away from an imager crowded with too many very tiny pixels. Thus I opted for the ZR1 still available at Amazon for $185.00. I prefer the ZR1, as it has the upgraded OIS that is used on the ZS7 and the new imager that is also used on the ZS7 in a smaller more convenient package, at a bargain price.

The ZS1 is a clone of the ZS3 with a standard video rather than the HD video and without the better LCD screen (460K pixels) that is found on the ZS3.

Hi Sarah,

thanks for the breakdown.

I have gone ahead and ordered the F70exr, as I'm loving the pictures on FLICKR. Also I work with a guy who has a ZR1 so I can make some direct comparisons and send back the F70 if I'm really not happy with it.

But..i'm intrigued by the EXR system and look forward to experimenting with it.

Thanks for all your help and advice and I look forward to posting some images.

Kind Regards,
Michael.

Michael-

The Fuji F-70EXR is a very good camera as long as you follow the necessary adjustments as outlined in Hards/Dustin's posts in the Fuji P+S folder, and you don't mind making those last minute adjustments.
