Default Good ultrazoom camera

Hi,
I want an ultrazoom camera and I am quite confused now. I have come to down to the following choices:
1. Panasonic FZ35/38
2. Sony HX1
3. Sony HX5
4. Canon SX20IS
5. Nikon P100
6. Fuji HS10

Which one of these has the best IQ? I would be taking photographs of landscapes, sometimes in low light and also photos of family.I will also take printouts of sizes 11x14 or 16x20 inches. Price is not an issue, only the camera should be worth the extra bucks.
I am considering Sony over FZ35 only for the added features of sweep panaroma and the CMOS but in the end the picture quality matters..

Thanks
Gargi

The Fuji has the sweep panorama as well as 30x manual zoom and scads of other features.

gargi-

Welcome to the Forum. We are delighted you dropped by.

The leading contenders in the super zoom class of cameras are the Fuji HS-10 and the Panasonic FZ-35/38. Both have very good image quality.

The Canon SX-20 is ISO limited
The Nikon P-100 has poor image quality and excessive noise
The Sony HX5 is not a super zoom camera
The Sony HX1 is due for replacement in Summer 2010.

Thanks for such a quick reply.
Narrowed down to HS10 and FZ35.

Those are the top 2 currently in this segment, but the FZ35 may be replace this summer also. But I would not let that stop you, as there is always a new camera in the near future.

But you can not go wrong with the FZ35. It is a very proven camera. The HS10 is still not fully test out, but it looks very promising form all the photos that are being posted.
