I know that video is only an added advantage for a P&S camera.. but still could someone tell me.. whether FUJI hs 10 video is good as FZ 35.
I know that there is no manual option in HS10 (for video) as in FZ 35.. but still someone could let me know the video of HS 10 .. I am turning my head for video with HS 10 because of 1080p videos.
Many tell that zoom is jerky in videos..but I think that could be overcome with a good practice (Correct me If I am wrong) and moreover we wont zoom in and out regularly in videos.
How about the batteries.. kindly let me know about those too...
In one review the reviewer has told that the photos are muddy and soft.. If any one is having HS10 kindly let me know about this too.
In one site I found a user posting that there is no 2x digital zoom. (it may be useful in some places)..but i hope there will be little digital zoom.

Default FZ35 vs FUJI HS10

My 2 cents.
To all, i am PANA FZ lover, i have had 10 FZs so far, i guest i have had all FZ cameras up to date, that should tell you im nuts over FZs..My last is FZ38 and still use it everyday. I must say for daylight shooting FZ rules, no doubts, but for low lights it struggles and very noisy on high ISO, the flash is so tiny it can only do in small room, for a bigger room, it can not handle. Yup, its not a perfect camera yet. I use it for back up only.
Now, i am also Fujifilm lover, i have had all Fuji S series DSLRs, to me it produces best IQ, yes, i have own many other DSLRs too..But i never owned a Fuji P&S cameras, with that said, i really like to try this newer Fuji HS10, i have confident in Fuji Image quality, they know colors, plus their super CCD. I trust Fuji.
Therefore, i like to hear more about the positives of Fuji HS10 plus its negatives only from some one who owns it for more than 4 months and really try it hard..I like its high ISO and mega zoom, i would love to see samples from its high ISO test.
Plz send me your own test samples.

I am also fighting to choose among panasonic fz38 and fuji HS10, so I join your company!
- I have read only very good reviews about pany
- I have read excelent and not realy good reviews about juji...

But one more question, does any of these two cameras have that aiding light, to help focus in dark scenes?

vgkarthi-

The Uniross 2500 Mamp batteries should work just fine for you in the Fuji HS-10.

In my personal opinion, I like the Panasonic FZ-35 better. It is a user friendly camera capable of very good photos.

hi Thejas,
I think you can go for FZ 35..
I have hs 10
Even I am a beginner.. I don't have FZ 35
The main points for what i went to HS 10 is

30x zoom (this is a really good option in HS 10.. excellent zoom )

Manual zoom (good.. as it saves power and good like DSLR.. bad because during video. its tough and highly impossible for smooth zoom)

1080p video (good but...not that satisfied.. i think FZ 720p may do well.. not sure.. my friends P 100 is better than my video)

slow motion capture (good feature..only few cameras has.. quality not upto expected..good in bright lighting conditions.. else.. its fully dark)

DSLR style (ya its a good bridge camera.. with perfect DSLR styled and good options )

Macro & Super Macro (very good)

there are few options like (even though i did not consider much on these things)

motion panaroma (good option.. u can take superb fotos with some practice..)

motion remover, multi fotos in a frame.. kinda option (still dont know perfectly how it works.. tat too only for 2 mega pixel.. so its a waste)

pro night shot.. (good one)

continous shot (7 fotos drive.. good one)

Talking about overall picture quality .. i feel its less with its sharpness...

many scene modes are there.. u can play around it..

u can play with techie modes.. like Aperture prio.. shutter prio.. manual et...

I am sure its a good bridge camera... but not sure whether its better than fZ 35

hope i have given u enough details.. let me know anything if u need...

if u need sample fotos of mine.. do ask me..

There are multitudes of HS-10 sample photos in the Fuji P+S folder.
