Default i need an easy and good camera for my mom

i need an easy and good camera for my mom, age 83. price, under $300. she has a very good eye but does not want to do any adjusting on the camera. fewer buttons are better. a big bright lcd and a real view finder would be nice. she likes a long zoom. she will be taking the camera directly to the photo lab as she has no computer.
thank you

lcd is easy, but real view finder will be a larger camera.

small compact the panasonic zs3 with a 12x zoom is selling for about 240 dollar 3 inch lcd. A little less zoom the panasonic zr1 with 8x zoom again 3 inch lcd. Both are just push the button, and choose the scene you are trying to shot. At around 260 the zs5. It replace the zs3.

For a view finder you will need to look at a megazoom or bridge camera. But they are more complicated. More buttons to push. But all of them are in the over 300 range.

The Olympus SP800UZ is not a large camera considering that it has a 30x optical zoom lens. It has a 3" LCD (but no EVF). Amazon has it for $285.

Welcome to the Forum. We delighted that you dropped by.

The Kodak Z915 is the all time favorite of the seniors I reach at our local Senior Center. If you want a more advance camera look at the Canon SX-210.
