Thanks for the tips!

Just a general question, the auto mode in both cameras is working as every simple camera? For example if my fiancee wants to shoot she would be able to just get the camera, turn it to auto and shoot? I mean for both cameras

we have professionals taking care of the photo shooting there, so i dont want to have also this on my mind on that day!

I went to 5 wedding last year, and having to go to 1 next month, I only brought a point and shoot with me last year, and the shots at the dinner and in the church where just horrible. Even at the table the shots were poor at best past 6 feet. The smaller sensor just can not produce good snap shots. I am not even talking about nice photos. And the zoom will be useless indoor as the internal flash will be complete ineffective.

So I will be bringing my dslr to the wedding in june. So if your were planning to have a family member take snaps beside the pro. The K-x will be the better option.

I have been to cypress, it is a lovely place

But don't temp me, i may just take you up on your offer. Cmoy tempted me with photo of southern france, and my wanderlust got the best of me. And my wife and I are flying to paris for a long weekend at the end of may. My passport is so stamped up, that I had to send it to the passport center to add more pages to it. Camera's and photography is my 4th favorite hobby. Travel and food are 1 and 2, motocycles are number 3.

I asked something earlier but probably it was lost in the other posts about the wedding

I suppose FZ35 has auto mode, and thus my fiancee would be able to use it.
The x-k has an auto mode? Because in case we are somewhere with just the x-k i would want my fiancee to be able to take photos easily, without asking me
