But, not newer. ;-)

P.S.

AF lock is not a feature difference. The 7fps "Speed Priority" mode available on the A550 is the feature difference, as the A500 is limited to 5fps. I was just pointing out that one downside to it is that AF is locked on the first frame when using the A550's 7fps "Speed Priority" mode, versus the camera refocusing between frames as the A500 and A550 will work in their 5fps mode.

I can see where it could be handy from time to time (7fps mode, even though the camera doesn't allow continuous AF when using it). But, I don't see that feature as a big deal to most users.

For the first 14 days of your purchase you may return the merchandise for a full money back refund, excluding any shipping charges
No RMA number is required to return an item, simply download and complete the Return Merchandise form on the website.

If an item is defective, we can send you a pre-paid label for return. (For overseas customers we will refund shipping costs on returned defective items upon submission of a receipt - BUT, please email me prior to a return: [email protected]).

Adorama and B&H are both reputable vendors. They both have pretty good return policies:

Amazon has the longest return period (provided you're buying directly from amazon.com and not one of the vendors selling there). You get 30 days with them on camera gear:
