Hello,
Looking to buy a waterproof camera for the fishing boat. I fish freshwater and am looking to spend 250.00 to 300.00
Thanks

The panasonic TS series the 1 or the 2 are not bad, also the olympus toughs are good

Thanks, I looked at the Olympus tough 6020 and it looked pretty nice.

I'd take the Panasonic over the Olympus in terms of IQ. Sony is another option but I have read a few comparative reviews that say it is not as durable or waterproof as the Panasonic or Olympus cams.

Both the panasonic and olympus have the most rugged designs out there. Honestly image quality are very close.

$235 at Amazon w/ free shipping + you have 30 days with Amazon to return it if you don't like it vs 14 days at Walmart. No instant gratification though. hehe

I am not sure what the 8000 offers by comparison but it's only $30 more.

Both Olympus cameras have only received lukewarm reviews. The Panasonic TS2 has much better image quality.
