Default Camera for taking clothing shots for eBay

I am interested in a better camera than the point'n'click Olympus I have now, for taking shots of dresses and other clothing on dummies. I want to get sufficiently good photos not to have to do too much in Photoshop after the event. I would like to take shots of the whole dummy, as well as closeups, showing detail. I have good lighting and backdrops but I'm an amateur when it comes to cameras.
And I'm in Thailand, so that complicates what I can buy.
I'd appreciate any help you can give me.

Canon S90 or Panasonic LX3 are both good choices if the budget permits. ($350-400 USD)

ronwest-

The most important issue really is this: what lighting are you using for these photos? The kind of light and the amount of light are both very large factors is getting clear, sharp, and well detailed photos. Also can you please give us a proposed budget? Thanks.

Four 500W units we bought from a local lighting shop here in Chiang Mai. The budget: around US$500. I might have to wait until I come to the US because cameras are more expensive here.

I looked up the reviews for both of these products - they both seem great cameras. At this stage i'm leaning towards the Panasonic, although I might have to wait until I can come to the US to buy it.
