Default Sony DSC H20 vs Fujifilm S1800

Hi everyone,

I'm kind of caught in between the Sony DSC H20 and the Fujifilm S1800.

Though am all impressed with the DSC H20, except for the Red-eye issue.

Can someone throw some light on the Red-eye issues with the DSC H20. I saw images on a review site where the pictures taken using the DSC H20 shows off considerable Red-eye.

Where as images taken using the Fujifilm S1800 depicts little Red-eye.

Can anyone please advise me on this urgently becasue I need to close in on a purchase immediately.

Pramodoux-

Welcome to the Forum. The Sony H-20 is the much better camera by a wide margin when compared to the Fuji S-1800. I own a H-20 and I have never in 14 months of use had a red-eye problem even once.

The image quality on the Fuji S-1800 is very marginal at best and it has few features. In contrast, the H-20 is a full featured camera with even HD video that allows you to zoom while filming.

Here is a photo sample taken by the H-20. This is a straight on casual portrait and if there was going to be red-eye is should apprear in this photo sample, but as you can see it does not appear.. I am afraid that you are worrying needlessly.

Congratulations, Pramodoux-

While not having a wide angle position on its zoom, the H-20 is a feature rich camera. I am sure you will be pleased.
