Not really. The software that comes with the cam will do in a pinch. When you are ready to graduate to something better, a number of the apps from the list I posted will all convert easily.

I don't know much about that cam but it's cheaper ($157) at B&H and no tax unless you live in NY. It's even cheaper at J&R - $150 and also no tax unless you live in NY.
