Default Can my son do stop-motion with the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FP1?

I just bought this model for my 12yr old son because he was impressed by the clarity of close-up shots, but he can't figure out if it takes stop-motion shots. He's new to photography, and gung-ho on making LEGO mini-movies and then posting to YouTube. Does this model have a stop-motion feature or not? If not, what brand/model would you suggest for a 12yr old in the under $175.00 price range? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Do you want a still photo or a stop motion video shot?

Any camera will work. You'll need a tripod, some Lego, and software to turn all those pictures you'll take into a movie. It would be easier to piece it together on a computer than in the camera if you want to add sounds, graphics, titles, credits, etc.

Here is tutorial on how to make stop-motion Lego movies.

Good luck and may the Force be with you.
