I own both cameras, that is how I provided the samples,but at the end of the day, by preference, I will grab the XSi first for any photos. I get better photos, sharper, faster focus, and, I am being very subjective here, it just feels better.

chooseing a camera is also very personel imho both cameras will do the job so you need to go and do some touch and feel with them you have feel right holding them are the buttons in the right place for you. in the end you have to use the camera

It is still a current model. It has been on the market for a couple of years,
so there won't be any new reviews of it in the mags. It might be included
in comparisons with newer models.

The 450D is a fine camera. My brother gets great results

Mate has been offered a 2nd hand 450D for 375. 6 month warranty from the shop. Good deal guys and gals?

How much uses has it seen, it seems a good price. But I have never been keen on used bodies.

That can be allot depending on hold old the body is. But if your brother is looking to save some money. It seems a fair price.
