Default Canon SX120 IS or Fujifilm S2550 HD

Hi,

I am a newbie in the photography field and looking to get myself a Digi cam, have a budget of around 200$, and for gaining experience purpose looking for manual controls on the dial as well.

Going through various reviews, and in my budget I checked that the 2 Canon SX120 IS and Fujifilm Finepix S2550HD are good choices.

please help me out to final selection between these or any other camera within the budget and comaprable.

Thanks
Devang

devang-

Welcome to the Forum. We're pleased that you dropped by.

The Canon SX120 gives better image quality, but has mess zoom and only a standard video. The Fuji S-2550 has 18X optical zoom,a HD video but has less image quality. So it is sort of a toss-up. Personally I would favor the Canon SX-120.
