Default Which super-zoom digital camerca?

I'm looking for a super zoom camera. I think I've narrowed my choice to the Panasonic FZ35, 40 or 100. Can someone make a recommendation? I'm willing to consider other brands such as the Canon SX20 or Fuji HS, or??? I'm a casual photographer and interested in taking mostly nature photos (animals, scenery), so looking for fairly decent image quality and good zoom capability. Thanks,

Saly you will be pushed hard to beat the FZ35...it is hands down a great buy and great performer....$300 and free shipping at Amazon...or if you are like me I buy the used ones that are in very good condition with a good return policy...I have just purchased three used ones in the last 3 weeks and they are in perfect condition...only an open box that was returned...

@LTZ470 - Thanks for your input. In your opinion, what makes the FZ35 stand above the FZ40 and FZ100?

HS10 may be a little more than you want to pay but once you learn how to use it Hands down its the best bridge camera I have ever used. Down over 15,000 images with it since late April......

Saly-

Unfortunately, the increase from 12mp to 14mp for the Panasonic FZ-40 and FZ-100 has not worked well at all. Noise is excessive at ISO 400 and above. These cameras perform well, but noise just as it is in the Nikon P-100 is the real problem.

Better IQ. The extra reach of the new lens combined with the extra MP reduced IQ.

Hmmm, that's really too bad about the reduced IQ. Are there other brands with 24+ zoom that offers good IQ?

The HS10 has mixed reviews. I've seen some great images from it but have also read some negative comments about it. I really like the manual zoom feature and 30x zoom is quite a reach. Olympus has some good long zoom models as well. The SP800UZ also has a 30x lens.

But the bottom line is this: professional and user reviews of the Olympus S-8000 have been universally poor due to the ergonomics. The Nikon P-100 and the Fuji HS-10 face the same problem that has been a problem for FZ-100. The BSI-CMOS imager is a small imager that has its own problems with reduced image quality.

Check out these car show photos form VI Girl she did a magnificient job as well as the FZ100...look in the Panasonic P&S Folder for a lot of recent photos by the FZ100...I am basically doing the same PP as I am doing with the FZ35...I do love the articulated screen as it has helped me get some shots I normally wouldn't attempt...remeber one thing Saly the FZ100 price is coming down everyday and my suggestion is buy it from Amazon even if a few dollars more as they have a trouble free 30 day return policy...that way you can give it a try and send it back after a couple of weeks...it's done all the time...
