Yes, it's a good deal. The lowest I've seen this combo on Amazon was $628 and it does not happen that often. So, $11 more is nothing really.

Found a new company (bestpriceelectronics) that's selling k-x for $455 with free s/h.
I checked resellerratings and has good reviews there unlike other Brooklyn based retailers.
http://bestpriceelectronics.com/bp/p...-black-p-19145

Any hint that this is a bait and switch company?

BBB has B+ ratings for this company.
BBB has processed no customer complaints on this company in its three year reporting period.

K-x is going for around $590 in reputed sellers like abesofmaine(Pentax authorized dealer) has for $487.95.
So it is around $32 cheaper at bestpriceelectronics which is not a huge discount to be alarmed... may be it is a legit company.
I'll give them a call tomorrow to find out return policies etc...

My boyfriend had trouble with abe of maine's return policy even though they say 30 days. They do ship pretty fast though.

They maybe selling imported models. That is how some companies end up saving money.

Thank you all for your suggestions and comments.
That site (bestpriceelectronics) is not an authorized dealer.

Still not ready to pull the trigger but here are the final figures:

1. Canon T2i + 18-55mm + 75-300mm + 8gb SD + Filter Kit @BeachCamera - $840.94
If I add Canon Pro9000 printer it'll be $1269 - $400 = $869 after rebate.
Even if I get $170 for printer, final cost will be $700.
530g without lens
Good: Highly rated camera with a lot of features.
Bad:No built in image stabilizer, no autofocus in video, the zoom lens is not image stabilized, need expensive lens to match performance.

2. Nikon D3100 with kit lens 18-55mm + Epson R1900 printer for $1120 - $450 rebate = $670.
If I sell the printer for $170 or more, final cost for D3100 = $470.
505g without lens.
Good: Great low light performance, autofocus in video that means I can take my own video without other's help, most lightweight DSLR with 1080p video.
Bad: Only works with AF-S or AF-I lenses, mono mic.

3. Pentax K-x with kit lens $490.
Or a kit lens + 75-300mm for $670.
Good: Built in image stabilization so more lens choices, great low light performance, No rebate, no resale of printer.
Bad: No autofocus in video, heavy (581g without lens).

I'm not sure if I need 300mm zoom right away but coming from FZ35, I may miss the zoom.
Anyways, I have 3 more days for the printer rebate on Nikon and until Dec 31st for Canon printer rebate deal.

What do you guys think?
Should I pull the trigger on Nikon D3100 or take time and decide later as Canon's rebate is not expiring soon and Pentax is not going anywhere?
Thanks again.

pentax, then canon then nikon with those prices and lens

With the pentax did you mean 55-300. There is not 75-300 for the pentax. The reason I pick the pentax over the canon is the 75-300 is not a really good lens, it is not as good as the ef-s 55-250, and way way behind the EF 70-300 IS USM. If it was the 55-250 it would be a tie, and the 70-300 canon hands down.

Shotturtle,
Thanks for reply.
Yes, I meant 55-300 for Pentax.
I'm confirming with a retailer whether Pentax package with zoom qualifies for a DSLR above $549 price for printer rebate or not as the price of camera only is below that price and may not qualify.
