Default A compact camera similar to Lumix GF1 but cheaper?

I love Lumix GF1's photos but this camera is too expensive for my budget (i have only 400 bucks)

Is there any camera similar to GF1? I mean 0 noise, vivid colors, HD videos.

I need a pocket camera for group photos, photos at night, portraits, facebook, record concerts but with a semi-rofessional look.

Something better than a compac camera quality

i'm looking for an automatic camera because i wanna use it for situations where i have no the time to make a composition. i just capture a flash moment, like funny situations, your know

EPL-1 is a good option but i'm not impressed with its photos
s95 is nice but sometimes look like a normal compact camera - nothing impresive to me

thanks and sorry 4 my english

olympus epl-1 adorama has a olympus factory referb for 399. Does everything the gf1 can do, and use the same lenses, if you want to invest in lenses down the line.

GF1 is not 0 noise, above 800iso it gets noise, and very noise above 1250iso.

have you check the micro 4 3 forum, they have allot of sample of the epl-1

Because if you do not like the photos, it make little sense to get it.

i also suggest the epl1. i love my gf1, but the epl1 not only can use the same lenses, and its jpg's are excellent quality, but i hear it has a very good auto. can't see why you're not impressed - i've looks at tons of both professional samples and user samples, and the only thing i don't love about the epl1 is the kit lens - and you aren't stuck with that.

hey shoturtle, one question. in order to take nice photos with an epl-1 do i need to learn something about aperture, that technical stuff

i'm looking for an automatic camera because i wanna use it for situations where i have no the time to make a composition. i just capture a flash moment, like funny situations, your know

and apart from the epl-1 what would be another option, especially a pocket camera

thanks and sorry 4 my english

no if you shoot in scene modes, or in full auto. It can work like a point and shoot.
