I am also thinking of buying the amazing Canon S95 but its limited zoom range is keeping me from making the decision but its performance and image quality are unquestionably good!!

I had this same thought prior to purchasing mine but I ave no regrets. I did keep my Panasonic ZS7 also though.

I would think that the S-95 and the ZS7 would make a very good combination. I see them as very complimentary.

I will bet that Five0 never thought that I would make that statement! But there is no denying the measurably better IQ and sharpness that the ZS7 is capable of in reasonable lighting.

The only thing I dislike is that the ZS5/ZS7 cameras rapidly escalate the ISO setting when using the built-in flash unit at distance. But then I own a slave flash, so I have finally taken that "glitch" off my list.

I am actually looking at purchasing a used ZS5.

The S95 is very very sharp also...sharper than the S90...getting very close if not even with the ZS7...I find the ZS7 does Macros better because it has the AF Macro Mode...the S95 seems to back focus a lot when getting close to a subject and you have to pull back to enable focusing...
