I am reminded of using an old Sony W100 to take a flower pic at the coast, I hunkered down, got real close to a morning glory, shot the pic, turned out nice for the time and camera...then thought I 'saw' something...not 'sure' what, but, thought it was a snake...am into snakes, so glanced while shooting flower, glanced again, and again...then, thought, ummmmmmm. I was only about a foot and a half from the two you see below. Two Coastal Rattlesnakes. I slowly turned and shot a pic of them before backing away. I was surprised they hadn't rattled. Then noticed the entwining of their tails. Wasn't even sure if they were really alive, it was really cold. So, took my hiking stick to move the grass...um, the flicked their tongues and lifted their heads...said enough of this foolishness, now git...so I gitted.
