Default What lens is better to have?

I found a good deal on the T2i, and there are 2 different kits at great prices. But which lens is a better secondary to have?

The options are:

55-250mm

or

75-300mm

I'm assuming that the first one is better, since it's more $, but I'm really not sure of the difference.

Thanks!

Right (the 55-250mm is a much better lens). I'd probably avoid the 75-300mm (you'd probably be better off getting a third party alternative from Tamron or Sigma instead).

Hi the 55-250is is a good lens and for the extra i would add the 50 1.8 then I think you have a good all round setup
