That is exactly why it looks like spam! You have not told us any thing about:

(1) Your photo experience.

(2) The camera you are now using.

(3) Your budget.

(4) The kind of photos you want to take both now and in the future.

Your initial post frankly looks and reads exactly like an advertisement, that equals spam.

Hi Sarah,

Always enjoy your posts. You are a wealth of information and I appreciate your advice.
I currently have a FZ35 and really enjoy it but I've got the itch for something new. The only improvement I would like is a little better indoor/low light performance.
I'm considering the Canon SX30IS, Lumix FZ40 or Lumix FZ 100.
I am an amateur and usually shoot in iA or P modes. Very little video.
Would love to hear your suggestions.

Thanks for taking the time....

Stan

Aaaaaaahhhhh... but the BIG difference, he/she is not SELLING said equipment. Were that the case, it would be spam and Jim would be all over it like white on rice. The OP is merely asking if the reader if this would be a good camera and provided the specs from the advert. I agree he/she should have stated such in a preface statement along with his/her criteria/needs. But, spam? Naaaaaa

Just to answer the OPs question, yes, it is a good little camera, that can produce great results. However, like any camera it might or might not be what you are looking for so it would help to know what you are wanting to shoot and in what conditions.
