You don't want the EP1. It's a neat, handsome camera but it has no built in flash and like shoturtle said, you can't use the VF-2 with it. I like the EP1 controls much better than the EPL1 but the EPL1 is overall a much better unit. It offers better DR, better IQ in high ISO, flash, EVF capability and it's smaller and lighter. I had the EP1 and sold it. I'm much happier with the EPL1.

did want to point out that the gf1 lenses are mostly stabilized, so if you're shooting with say the zoom kit lens or the 45-200, your videos are stabilized. and is very good stabilization, too.

Thanks. I guess if the E-PL1 is better I'll go with that. I just wish I could get it with the 17mm f/2.8 lens for $528 like the E-P1. Maybe I can find just the body for around $250 somewhere..?

Will the Olympus 17mm f/2.8 lens lens work with the GF1?

Any similar lenses to the 17mm or the 20mm Panasonic that shoot such great video that cost around $200 that will work with the GF1 (body only is $299 on Amazon)... I think I'll just go with the E-PL1 and save up to get the 17mm or 20mm lens in the future.

yes the 17 2.8 will work with the gf1 like the 20 1.7 will work on the epl-1. The 20mm is the better fast prime for m4/3. And both lenses will be stabilized on the epl-1

Is this a good lens - Olympus ZUIKO DIGITAL 25mm f/2.8 Pancake lens? It looks like it comes with image stabilization. Would it work with the GF1? and is it better than the standard lens which comes with the GF1?

None of the oly lenses come with IS they have always been IBIS company, the 4/3 25mm 2.8 does not have IS, neither does the new 14mm 2.5 from panny.
