Default AHHHHH...Canon T2i or 60d

I am completely torn.

Had the Rebel Xti learned a lot....it was stolen sooooo...need a replacement.

I shoot my kids jumping their horses and puppies at my parents Kennel.

I love the size and the reviews of the T2i, but I want to continue to learn and want the best performance my $1000 can buy.

I am afraid the 60d will be to heavy to take with me all the time as I did with my last camera...but maybe the durability is worth it.

HELP...anyone with experience between these cameras?

Hi this my take on it both will do what you, yes the 60d is more durable, did you ever damage your last camera. You will save money with the T2i/550d and so put it too another lens. On a personnel note the T2i/550d is a great camera. Good luck

the 60d also has a faster burst mode, which could be very useful, and also a flip out monitor, which i've found handy when i had my fuji.

60D has the better AF system with 9 cross type AF points, faster burst rate, wireless flash control and a longer fps duration, 49 photos befroe the shutter lag. So if you need these features, the 60D would be a very nice step up form what you had. I really like the lcd on the 60D, makes working on a tripod simpler and easy.

T2i still only 1 cross type AF point, the center one. To go wireless you will need a master flash and slave flash or a st-e2 to control your flash.
