Default Open to suggestions for new camera

After many years of good service from my canon A80 it's time for an upgrade.
I've read so many reviews and looked at hundreds of sample pictures, I sort of have an idea of what I want. I am however open to suggestions that might point me to cameras that I had not considered.
(Cameras I've looked at: HS10, FZ100, P100, G12, SX30)

What I'm looking for:
1. Quicker auto focus than the A80.
2. Faster shot to shot performance.
3. An lcd that can be repositioned. (I've gotten so used to it I don't think I could use a camera that didn't have that feature.)
4. A lens with more reach than the A80.
5. Image quality that is at least as good. (It may only be a 4mp camera, but from what I've seen it can produce images as good as some of the newer cameras.)
6. More that 3x zoom.
7. Less than $500.

If it was me with the above list then I would have certainly bought the Canon SX30IS.

But thats a very personal decision, as I am actually buying an FZ40 since I don't think a swill LCD screen is an absolute necessity for me.

You can keep your cost down considerably, if a camera like the Canon A2000 will work for you. It has 10mp 6X optical zoom. if you want more zoom, or more performance than that, please tell us. But I see the A2000 as a starting point.
