Default Best canon for under 300$?

I want to buy the S95 but i don't have enough money to afford it. (I'm not from US and where i live it costs 570 bucks LoL)

What I need is a canon with good lens, colorful pictures, 720p HD videos.

8Mp it's enough, because I hate the noise which is produced by 12-14MP cameras. I will use this photos for myspace.

Thanks!

I would consider another brands but please only if you have realized that they are way better than a canon

Thanks for that option. What about if it doesn't work after 3 months, does it have guarantee? What are the disadvantages?

It is only a 90 warranty. The advantage is the price you pay. But all the refreb is done by canon in a canon service center. I have brought refrebs before, and have had no issues. But you save 60 dollars. And have a very good low light digicam. Vs a compromise small 1/2.23 sensor digicam that will not match the Image Quality or low light performance of the larger 1/1.63 sensor.

All the 1/1.63 sensors are 400 and up.

Do you know anyone in the states that can purchase one 95 on sale for you and send it to you? Is just a thought. Costs 399 retail, sale would be less...US dollars.

Canon PowerShot ELPH 500 HS

12 MP, F2 lens, Full 1080p HD, 4.4x Optical, ISO 3200, HS System for better low light, Touch Screen. it comes out this month. Retail 299 US dollars but should be a little cheaper when it comes out.
