the white dot is something from my laptop screen being reflected in to the screen of the camera.

Your photo is not sharp at all, but the four marks in the center of the LCD screen appear to be the normal focusing marks when the FZ40 camera is set to center point focus.

nah i know that. What i am talking about is the top left and the bottom right.

See the yellow/orange glow?

Well I will sat the same thing again. Exchange the camera as however, light those two patches should not be there.

Sarah, I am struggling with noise in the FZ40. I am impressed with these images. How do they do in print?
