Default Color of camera for taking photos of jewelry?

I have started creating silver jewerly and have been taking close-up photos of my creations with a red Canon camera. This is not working because the sterling silver reflects the red and shows up in the photos - making it look like the jewelry pieces are red.

So what color camera should I buy so that it doesn't show up and make my jewelry look like it has color to it? I was thinking it would be a black or silver camera???

Thanks in advance for your help!

G'day Jenn

Two thoughts here -
1- maybe shoot your jewellry within a small light box, lit from both sides thru white cloth walls ... it may give such a soft gentle light that the camera is in a dark zone outside the light box and thus, cannot be seen in the reflection

2- maybe take a piece of white cardboard 30cm x 30cm, cut a hole the size of the lens / UV filter and push it onto the lens so to hide the camera but still see the subject

Hope this helps a bit
