Default Sony hx9 versus Lumix dmc tz20

I am going to buy a new camera. Probably a Sony hx9. I want to be able to use the videofunction as well as the still-pictures.
I also looked at some Lumix-cameras. However it seems that Panasonic does not include metadata in their videos but Sony does, and I want to be able to stamp my films with the date.

Can anyone confirm that Sony includes metadata so it is possible to use e.g. dvmp-pro to stamp the films?

you can 'stamp' the photos with the exif data using most modern photo managers. (post processing though)
Example: Faststone image viewer

I have the HX7V and it provides a date stamp and, I believe,it will provide GPS coordinates as well on the video. The HX9V has the same processor and guts, so I would assume that the HX9V will at least be able to do everything that it's little brother can do. I am not sure if this answers your question, but hope it helps.
