Default Recommend me a compact

Hi Guys, I am going to Turkey in October and wondered if you could recommend me a compact. I have an HS10 but worried about lugging it around and the worry of it being stolen. I have a budget of around 100. A decent reach from the lens would be good, I know high MP count isn't always everything. I like the idea of a Fuji underwater camera as we will be on the beach/pool alot, but I also have a wedding to go to so would like a decent performer. Underwater thing isn't vital. Thanks!

Canon SX130. Probably the best cam for the money. I think it's $199 USD at full price and have seen it as low as $129 USD (holiday sale[offer]), so you should be able to get it within your budget.

Also don't forget that whatever camera you take to make sure you have enough battery power for it, proper charger if you rthink you'll need to charge the batter/batteries and enough memory cards/memory to make it through the trip.

I went to Atlanta (USA) last fall and took my HS10 for 4 days didn't find it to be any bother at all. I took almost 16GB of photos and video and was glad I had the long zoom when I visted the Atlanta zoo......

I have heard that there are tons of places to snap in Bodrum so I think I would miss out by not taking the HS10. I'll just have to make sure the policy covers personal items.
