Default Trying to decide between Two

I am looking to buy a good SLR camera to shoot headshots for Actors. I am trying to decide between The Pentax K-R or the Nikon D3100. The Pentax looks like it is better over all, but the Nikon has better resolution and flash which are two of the most important features for headshots. Any advice or comments would be much appreciated!

Hi and welcome, are you planning to use the internal flash or do you have other lighting for the shots you want to take

If you're doing real headshots for serious actors you should be using off-camera flash - two speedlights or strobes. Learning how to work with those off-camera lights is more important than the camera. And for headshots, resolution is irrelevant - any dslr on the market has enough resolution for headshot portfolio (assuming the photographer is doing their job and taking the photos as headshots and not heavily cropping).
