I use high amp batteries, they last longer on my different canons and had no problems, they then to also last longer as well. And the aftermarket ones form japan are quite good.

My own limited experience with cheap eBay batteries for the Canon T1i
has been very good. I find the replacement battery has slightly greater
capacity than the original Canon battery. After 14 months and a few
dozen recharge cycles, it is still as good as new.

No one can give you a definite answer. The quality of replacement
batteries ranges from excellent to very poor. It is probably best to
buy on eBay so that you will be able to read the detailed feedback
from other buyers. If the last few hundred customers are happy and
the seller has a FB rating well above 99%, you shouldn't have any
problems.

Just got my battery in the mail and it is a LP-E8 7.4V 1700mAh 12.5Wh Li-ion.

Will this work in the T3i because the one that comes with is a 7.2V 1120mAh 8.1Wh

Thanks

Charge it and put it in, it should be fine, the wasabi power one I got are higher amps and voltage. But have no problems.

Thanks

I will give it a try...I heard that even the 7.2 volt oem battery charges to 8.1 v when fully charged.
