Hi ally816... 250 what..pounds,dollars,euro's..?
What kind of zoom range are you looking at...?
Are you looking for something you can slip in your pocket or maybe something larger...?

oh sorry!!! 250 dollars! and size doesnt matter and as far as zoom, not really important either.
what do you think of the panasonic lumix DMC-FH25 ? or the canon elph cameras? i was told both canon and panasonic were good digital cameras but i was thinkin of maybe going dslr route. ugh i just dont know what to do!

Panasonic and Canon make fine cameras for all budgets, but obviously the more you pay,the better the results- depending on the user...lol..
A friend of mine has the FH25 you mention- and as a simple minimum of fuss "point and shoot"- she loves it.
A little camera I quite like is Sony's HX5V- since been surpassed by the HX7 and HX9,but the differences are not worth mentioning- however,it does mean that the HX5V can be sourced for bargain prices now! Here's a review.....

Here's one of Canon's Ixus series, again a slightly older model now, which can get you a bargain.....

As for the DSLR route- you'll need to up your budget a bit...!

the cameras i'm interested don't often go down in price on black friday. however the stores add extras they don't usually come with like free sd cards and cases. btw, panasonic and canon are my two favorite brands, partly due to their easier to use menus, good quality builds and competitive photo quality.

for your ease of money ...you should go for SONY..with higher zooms..and awsome image quality..with image stabilizer which some even dslrs lacks and some digi cams too !! search for SONY and higher megapxs...!best of luck.
